Please can you tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?

I really enjoyed getting to know my students and watching their ability in English improve over the duration of the two months.

I also really enjoyed getting the experience to travel to different parts of China.

Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?

The highlight for me, was having the opportunity to learn about the differences between English and Chinese culture. I managed to learn about these differences within the classroom and also on trips that I went on.

How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?

The overall experience has definitely improved my communication skills. It has also made me not take for granted that I speak English and therefore normally am able to communicate with many people from different countries. However in China this was a completely different experience since many native people did not speak English. This is definitely an eye-opening experience.

What was the best thing about your experience in China?

The best thing about my experience in China was getting to know the differences between Chinese and English culture.

Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?

Yes, I would definitely recommend a friend to do this activity. However, I would make sure that they understand that it is not a holiday.
