2019 Newsletter Archive

Every other Tuesday in the first half of 2019, we published a  newsletter to help Gotoco’ers to prepare for their trip to China, and to share the latest updates from Gotoco.

June 11 2019 Issue

In this issue, we highlight Shandong province (Shāndōng 山东), which runs down China’s East coast bordering the Yellow Sea. This province claims to be the birthplace of ‘Confucius’ (孔子 Kǒngzǐ), football (Cuju), some of the region’s earliest written recordings of city life (the claypots of Dawenkou and Dinggongcun), and, of course, Tsingdao beer.

We also introduce our team of summer interns, and share the history of the street the Gotoco office is on in Beijing.
