Eleonora Piga joined our projects at Winnerway School in Dongguan in the summer of 2017.

 

Please can you tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?

Seeing the kids for the first time and seeing them actually learning from my lessons. The overall experience in Yangshuo.

Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?

I enjoyed how the hard work that I had put into my lessons paid back.
The cultural excursions in Dongguan could have been better organized but they were enjoyable anyway.
The outdoor activities where interesting for the kids, and I enjoyed most of them too.

How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?

I learnt a lot about myself: I have a lot more confidence than I thought I had and I received many compliments for my teaching system. I got to know a new culture that was very peculiar and interesting.

What was the best thing about your experience in China?

The relaxing holiday in Yangshuo after teaching in Dongguan.

Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?

Yes I would and I do, because it is an experience that anyone that wants to challenge themselves, but also get to know themselves, should do. It really made me see things from a new perspective.
