Jerolynn Liu joined our project at Lan International Scouting Camp in Qingdao in summer 2017. Please read on to view his feedback:

Could you please tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?

The most enjoyable times for me were interacting with and getting to know the students and witnessing how their English improves. It was also fun to be able to bond with different people my age from different parts of the world.

Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?

There was a focus on science activities and labs that had the students focused, intrigued, and engaged. We also played numerous sport activities like soccer, basketball, and dodge ball.

How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?

It has helped me learn about the most effective English teaching methods for different levels (beginner vs advanced) of students.

What was the best thing about your experience in China?

Being able to bond with the students and the fellow camp leaders.

Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?

Yes, I think this is an excellent opportunity to go visit another country and take in a different culture while knowing you are also benefiting others.
