Nini Tu joined our projects in Villas Royal Foreign Language School in Dongguan in the summer of 2017.

 

Please can you tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?

I enjoyed meeting the students and seeing how amazingly talented and bright they were.

Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?

Going on the trip to the farm, the cinema and the performing at the closing ceremony.

How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?

I definitely got an insight into teaching, and I can say I respect the profession a lot more because it is hard and teachers usually do not get that much reputation.

What was the best thing about your experience in China?

Definitely an eye opener in many aspects such as the culture in the way they teach at schools and meeting people with different views who were kind and helpful.

Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?

Yes. I think that it is an experience they would not forget. I cried near the end since I got attached to the children who made travelling halfway across the world and teaching bearable.
