Sam Flint joined our project at Jiangxi Normal University in summer 2017. To view his feedback, please read on:
Could you please tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?
Eating hotpot in a traditional restaurant, appearing on Chinese TV at the waterpark, watching the lightshow.
Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?
Acting out a murder mystery with the students, teaching them about British food, going to Prince Tengs palace.
How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?
I’m far more confident in travelling abroad on my own, and also meeting new people in strange situations. I feel I’m better at communicating especially with people who don’t speak the same language.
What was the best thing about your experience in China?
The feeling of achievement of travelling abroad on my own and meeting some great fellow teachers and amazing students.
Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?
Yes, it’s a great opportunity to learn about teaching, make friends and travel abroad.
