I would recommend this to a friend who would like to go into teaching as experience wise its a good opportunity to learn about the job. Also it a good life experience to go to a foreign country where English isn’t frequently spoken to improve their understanding of the outside world.

Meeting and mingling with Chinese people and the teaching experience itself. I made so many friends with the Chinese staff and it was amazing to learn and understand Chinese culture for a long period of time. Life-changing experience overall.

The most enjoyable moment on the trip for me was meeting the children and watching how their English skills developed over time. It was really amazing to see how quickly they can pick up English phrases as little as a week. Also, free time which I didn’t have a lot of, I was able to see parts of China.

The trip has benefitted me because it has given me the experience to go on and teach after university. The trip has given me independent practice in teaching English in a foreign country where students had a very low level of English, this experience in the classroom has really benefitted me for my future career.
