"I had a really good experience in China this summer with Gotoco! I learned an incredible amount from teaching children English and being able to travel around China. I gained a lot of independence skills and got involved with Chinese culture and made life-long friends. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering applying!"
"I had a great time in China this Summer, and was able to gain my TEFL certificate whilst being able to explore a new country at the same time- would recommend to fellow young travellers!"
"The are many many memorable moments from the trip. I very much enjoyed seeing how the children’s English developed from the start of the course to the end. It was rewarding to see not only how their language skills improved but their confidence levels as well. Yangshuo was without a doubt the highlight of the trip. It was a big change coming from the urban city of Beijing to the small town of Yangshuo. The rooms were lovely and there was so much to see in the town it’s self, from cycling around the area to hiking up mountains. This experience has benefited me in so many ways. I was exposed to a culture I had never experienced before. I saw beautiful temple and parks. Each temple as unique as the next. I also learnt a lot about children and the way they think and act which was a very interesting experience. I tasted food which I will never forget. Through the programme I met many Chinese people my age and was able to see how people my age live in China. Everyone was very kind and generous and it was a very nice experience overall."
We aim to contribute to increasing understanding between China and ‘the West’ by implementing a broad range of educational, cultural exchange and exploration opportunities between China and ‘the West’.
One of our main projects is our annual Summer Camp TEFL Teaching project which takes place across diverse locations in China.
